MotoGP bike acceleration times vs S1000RR MotoGP bikes are crazy fast and will make your road bike feel pretty lame. 0-320 km/h in around 11 seconds is pretty insane.
Pretty insane. I think only an F1 car, WEC car or Champ car come close in terms of other vehicles that race on track. Obviously a WSBK would not be too far off but obviously slower in top and and in acceleration.
Found this, which seems decent enough for a town car when commuting to work: The figures are for the 2016 Mercedes W07: 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph): 2.4 seconds 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph): 4.4 seconds 0 to 300 km/h (186 mph): 8.4 seconds 0-160-0 supposed to take less than 5 seconds
0-100 and 0-160 times for the W07 are about the same as the MotoGP bike, according to the hypothetical graph, From then on the W07 is about 1sec faster to 200 and 300 than the bike. Acceleration none of us are likely to experience unless we become astronauts or Top Fuel drag racers. Not much chance any of us will become F1 or MotoGP stars, either. ...except faffi, when he resurrects an RC211V in about 50 years time and fits it up with a set of knobbies.
Although the MotoGP bike trounces the BMW, it's still amazing how fast stock litre bikes move. As motorcyclist we are pretty fortunate to have such accomplished machines. There are not very many car people that can afford and own the top cars. Pretty much any current litrebike accelerates like a Mclaren P1, Porsche 918 or La Ferrari, at least up to 260kph. Mm, that might be my next comparison.
